In addition to being an experienced consultant Michael D. Haberman is also an experienced writer, instructor and speaker. Mike really enjoys being in front of an audience and sharing his 30 years of human resources knowledge and experience. He brings to the stage a presentation full of energy mixed with humor. He consistently gets high marks from his audiences for mixing in real-life experiences that helps bring to “life” the valuable information he is giving the audience.
As a writer Mike’s blog HR Observations has been recognized several times, including as an FOT Top 25 Talent Management Blogs; Evan Carmichael’s Top 50 HR Blogs to Watch in 2010; as well as being selected by other bloggers as “worthy of reading.” His blog is published on HREOnline, the digital version of HR Executive Magazine, and on the Toolbox for HR.
As an instructor, Mike has been teaching human resources for over 13 years and is associated with Kennesaw State University’s College of Continuing and Professional Education; the University of Georgia’s Center for Continuing Education; and Emory University’s Center for Lifelong Learning-Professional Development. He teaches the SHRM HR Certificate program and a Fundamentals of Human Resources class, which he created. He has also taught classes on Behavioral interviewing, Effective Performance Reviews, Making Your HR Department a Profit Center, and Effective Supervision.
As a speaker, Mike has presented to industry groups, professional organizations, private companies, community business groups and SHRM chapters. His titles have included:
