The Downside of Telecommuting

Five inches of snow

There are a great number of advantages to telecommuting, many of which I have written about before. These include:

  • high productivity
  • no wasting time in commuting
  • happier employees
  • better balance of worklife and homelife
  • reduced costs associated with office space.

But there are some disadvantages as well for the telecommuter. There are two that I can think of in particular:

  1. NO SNOW DAYS
  2. NO STARBUCKS coffee

But it is pretty looking out the windows.

I will take telecommuting any day of the week, plus Sunday…
