I don’t think it’s too politically correct. Some people are extremely sensitive about (or don’t celebrate) their birthdays while others are bound and determined to throw everyone a hootenanny. I say take the money and put it towards bigger raises! 🙂
I don’t mind celebrating my b-day a little bit. But, I have a lot of anxiety on my birthday. No, not because I think I’m “old”. I just get a fat case of the nerves every year. I’m not really sure why.
